Surf Board

Of course, you aren’t going to get anywhere as a surfer without a surfboard. And as anyone who has been in a surf shop recently can attest, these hardly come in a one-size-fits-all package. Today’s surfboard designs vary in size, style, purpose, and capability. The best surfboard for you will depend on what kind of surfing you want to do, as well as what you can afford.

Different kinds of surfboard designs feature different advantages and drawbacks. If you are just getting started, it’s not a bad idea to rent a few different kinds of boards and familiarize yourself with the one that works best for you.

One example of a popular surfboard is the Egg, which is a hybrid board that is usually about six feet long. This board features a round tail shape. Other examples include The Fish and The Gun. While these might be provocative names, they are really not too descriptive in telling what kind of surfing experience they provide. That is why it is wise to seek the advice of others, and try a few designs before you commit to one surfboard.
